Week 8 Comments and Feedback

1. I am finding the feedback on my stories and blog posts very useful and quite high quality! Personally my favorite comments are the ones in which people ask me questions about the things that didn't come through clearly in my story. These are particularly useful as it gives me insight as to what is and is not working in my writing and helps me improve on future stories!

2. I think my ability to write meaningful comments has increased as this class has progressed. At first all my thoughts were very surface level and sometimes unrelated to what was important in the story but as I've started writing more myself, I've been approaching reading other blog posts differently. I really like the WWW strategy and have found it particularly useful in prompting myself to think more critically.

3. I think I have gotten to know a lot about at the least the way the people in this class view and carry themselves through their writing and introduction posts but I think I would need more communication within comment posts to really get to know a lot of my classmates.

4. In the future I am going to continue to approach commenting as I currently am, taking time to mention something I love, asking a question about something I didn't understand, and making a suggestion to improve the story even more. I'm quite happy with my comment wall and introduction!
I believe that learning to give yourself honest feedback is an important life skill

Comments

  1. Hello again, George!

I also think the WWW strategy is cool! It really helps someone to have meaningful comments, which is not something I am always good at. Sometimes we sugar coat things or we are scared to point certain things out because we want to get along with people. I think that's lame, and the WWW strategy leaves everyone happy!
