Growth Mindset: Mantra

I found this picture on Laura Gibbs blog and really liked it
Going into opening night for the most difficult show I've ever been in has made me start thinking about growth mindset once again. I've decided my mantra for this evening and on is, "I'm ready for the challenge." I am going to choose to face this challenge ready to come out on top. I may not perform perfectly, I'll almost certainly make mistakes, but I won't run from the challenge and I know I'll come out stronger for it.

  1. I like your mantra! That mantra is a perfect reminder that you can do it! Having a mindset like that will help people achieve things that they thought were impossible. I am glad that you pointed out that there are flaws within a performance, but you will still continue on no matter what may happen. I am a more introverted person, but I decided to take part of theatre in high school and that helped me come out of my box a little. I hope your performance went well!

  2. Hey George! I also really liked your mantra. While making mistakes is an often inevitable side effect of the human condition, your mantra is a reminder that life provides a constant opportunity to overcome. Your mantra also emphasized the importance of maintaining a positive perspective and confident belief in attempt. While the situation may not be executed perfectly, as planned, I like that you mentioned the way in which even that could help benefit you in your growth.
