Picture of a favorite place

I was raised in a home that was rich with Greek culture as my grandparents were both proud immigrants who never gave up their Greek identity. We attended a Greek Orthodox church and I was taught traditional Greek dances that we performed at the annual Greek festival. Although I have always had a fondness for my heritage, it wasn't until my trip to see the islands where my grandparents were raised that I fell entirely in love with the country. Perhaps my favorite island we visited was Santorini, with tall blue and white buildings and winding stone streets set into the side of a mountain, if the view from the sea below wasn't enough to take my breath away, the donkey ride up the face of the cliff and into the city certainly did. I still have yet to find a view that compares to looking down at the deep, clear blue ocean and I hope I get the chance to visit again!
