Reading Notes: Goblin City
- The description of the She-goblins in the first paragraph reminds me of the Sirens in Greek mythology.
- Because the goblins used magic to make their island appear more hospitable, it makes me think of the reality as all the more rundown and filthy.
- Having the goblin sign a nursery rhyme while devouring human flesh was a clever way to make the creatures seem truly chaotic.
- How did a horse that was regular sized hold all of the sailors on his back? I wish this was better explained.
- I now see that the fairy shrunk the sailors but I think this story could still have a better ending
- The fairy should shrink the goblins and the sailors should defeat them so that no one else meets the same fate.
