Reading Notes: The Giant Crab, Part A

The Giant Crab, and Other Tales from Old India
by W. H. D. Rouse with illustrations by W. Robinson

-Examples of good imagery for kids: claws as big as an armchair, eyes like tree trunks with cannonballs on top, bigger than a dinning room table

-Calling the elephant little puts this crabs size into perspective as well

-This sentence conjures great imagery of lustful eyes bobbing wildly above the water: (the crab) began to crawl slowly towards her, waving his eyes about as he went.

-including the "crack crack" gives a good audio description in this story, something I could use more of in my own writing
This story made me think of Tamatoa From Moana
