The Kshatriya
- Karna excelled in his studies with his Bhramin teacher
- It seems strange that Karna wouldn't kill the scorpion and instead bear the pain, but it is a beautiful image of self sacrifice for his teacher
- well now that his master is angry with him it seems he should have simply expressed his pain
- curse on Karna: the day he needs his skills the most, they will leave him
Karna becomes King
- a tournament was held for the nobility of the kingdom
- Karna appeared and outdid the competitors in every test however the crooked scales of royalty kept him from being deemed victor
- Karna is challenged to a fight but first he must identify his origins
- the queen faints at Karna's story, because she sent him down the river perhaps?
